Traces its origins to 1953, when Ferguson, Montgomery, Cassels and Mitchell established a full-service law firm in Toronto that developed an early strength in labour law.
In 1982, Roy Filion, Q.C., Warren K. Winkler, and David I. Wakely formed Winkler, Filion & Wakely to represent employers exclusively in labour and employment matters.
Founding partner Warren K. Winkler was appointed to the Ontario bench in 1993 and later served as Chief Justice of Ontario from 2007 to 2013.
