About Emily

Emily Durand is an associate in the firm's Toronto office with a broad labour and employment practice, advising public and private sector employers on employment contracts, wrongful termination litigation, workplace policies, privacy, human rights, and labour relations. Before joining the firm, she worked as labour and employment counsel for an Ontario utility company, which gave her insight into the operational and strategic needs of employers. Emily earned her Juris Doctor from Western University in 2019, where she was a research assistant for Professor Richard H. McLaren, and spent a semester studying at Radboud University in the Netherlands. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2020 and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (Canada).
