About Bonnea

Bonnea Channe is a partner at Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP, practising management-side labour and employment law for public and private sector employers. She advocates for clients in grievance arbitrations, wrongful dismissal claims, human rights cases and workplace safety and insurance matters, and she has particular knowledge of workplace substance use issues, often advising safety-sensitive employers. Bonnea co-authored the Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Act Quick Reference and has presented on topics such as workplace impairment and attendance management. She chairs the firm's Culture and Diversity Committee, which she helped found. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2008.
