A partner in the Hamilton office of Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP, Hina covers the full range of employment, labour and human rights work, and employment litigation is the centre of it. Hina's a trial lawyer who's regularly in front of the Superior Court of Justice and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

Advocacy came early. While still a law student at the University of Windsor, Hina was a Student Supervisor at the local Community Legal Aid clinic, standing up for community members in criminal, highway traffic, landlord and tenant and small claims files. After being called to the Ontario bar in 2014, Hina spent the first years of practice on civil litigation at a Hamilton litigation firm, handling personal injury, accident benefits and fire claims and acting for insurers in bad faith suits. Hina moved to Filion in September 2017.

Alongside litigation, Hina investigates workplace complaints of harassment, bullying, discrimination and toxic work environments for employers, and helps them put compliance systems and workable policies in place. Hina also speaks and writes on workplace law, with talks covering social media at work, gender identity and expression, and cannabis in the workplace. In 2025 Hina was among the Filion lawyers named in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.

Social justice has run through Hina's life outside the office too. Hina has volunteered with the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund, Amnesty International, the Children's Aid Society, the GoGirls program at Big Brothers & Big Sisters and Inasmuch House, and chaired the board of the Hamilton Community Legal Clinic, stepping down as outgoing chair after the clinic's 2023 to 2024 year.
