Mark Zega is a partner at Filion who handles a broad range of human resources and public law matters, with particular focus on education and healthcare issues. His practice spans labour, employment, human rights, and administrative law, and he has built his career as both a litigator and an advisor on risk management, governance, and regulatory questions. He represents large public institutions as well as private sector clients, appearing regularly before administrative tribunals and the courts. Mark has significant experience in collective bargaining, arbitration, mediation, and workplace investigations, and he sits as tribunal counsel and as an employer nominee on arbitration panels. His files have included medical resident discipline, workplace violence and harassment complaints, safe schools issues, and academic appeals for universities and school boards. He holds a law degree from the University of Windsor and was called to the Ontario bar in 1990.
