About Adelaide Earl-Kinley

Adelaide Earl-Kinley is an associate in the Kitchener-Waterloo office of Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP, where employers turn to Adelaide for help with a range of workplace issues. Some of that work is contested and some of it isn't: Adelaide supports clients through workplace disputes and through the employment matters that come up day to day, drawing on earlier experience handling complex commercial, construction and property disputes.

That litigation grounding came first. Adelaide spent a summer and an articling year at a national full-service firm, was called to the Ontario bar in 2023, and that September joined McKenzie Lake Lawyers in Guelph as an associate in its commercial litigation group. The files there were broad, from disputes over contracts to construction and property, and alongside them Adelaide was building a labour and employment practice that kept growing.

Adelaide studied at the University of Toronto, double majoring in Health Studies and Equity Studies, and went on to a JD at Dalhousie University. Law school wasn't spent only in the classroom. At a major research hospital in Toronto, Adelaide wrote legal education resources for the hospital's patients and staff, and a placement in Halifax with Legal Aid's Youth Justice division meant researching the law behind submissions made to the court.
