About Danny G. Parker

Danny G. Parker is a Toronto partner at Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP who acts for employers on labour and employment matters, with most of the focus on employment litigation and on labour relations, construction labour relations included. A lot of that work plays out at the Ontario Labour Relations Board, where Danny is a regular: certification applications, unfair labour practice complaints, and related employer and sale-of-business disputes.

Danny's legal career started at Filion as an articling student in 2015 to 2016. After the 2016 call to the Ontario bar came seven years as an associate, split between the firm's London and Toronto offices, before Danny joined the partnership. Law wasn't the first career, though. Danny earned a Bachelor of Commerce at Dalhousie University in Halifax, majoring in Marketing Management, and held a range of jobs at a major Canadian bank, from retail banking to sponsorship marketing.

That business grounding shapes the advice, which aims to be practical, efficient and in step with how a company actually runs. Clients include employers large and small, unionized and non-union, in both the public and private sectors, and regulated provincially or federally. Best Lawyers has listed Danny among its Ones to Watch in Canada for labour and employment law since 2025, and Danny has taught other professionals too, speaking on hiring pitfalls in the Osgoode Certificate in HR Law and on employment agreement clauses for the Law Society of Ontario.

Away from the office, Danny plays hockey, football and volleyball and cheers for the Maple Leafs, the Blue Jays and the Indianapolis Colts.
