About Ashley

Ashley Brown spent her early career on the management side of labour and employment law, working at a Toronto boutique firm and then a prominent southeastern Ontario firm before joining Filion in 2018. As a partner, she advises unionized and non-unionized employers of all sizes in both the public and private sectors on matters spanning human rights, occupational health and safety, executive pay, and employment agreements. She also supports clients through workplace investigations, restructurings, collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, and disputes over union organizing. She frequently speaks at conferences and has published widely on employment law topics such as workplace addiction, disability, and human rights issues. She received the Nipissing University Alumni Achievement Award in 2011.
