About Brian
Brian P. MacDonald is a partner at the firm who has practiced there since 2009, becoming a partner in 2016. He represents unionized, non-union and federally regulated employers across all areas of labour and employment law, with particular focus on the construction and transportation sectors. Brian regularly appears before the Ontario Labour Relations Board on grievances, jurisdictional disputes, certification applications and unfair labour practice claims, and he has coordinated litigation strategy for employer associations during raiding periods. He has extensive experience in collective bargaining, having served as lead spokesperson for employers in manufacturing, trucking, construction, professional services and social welfare, and he co-authored a text on collective agreement language. Brian holds a law degree from Dalhousie University and an Honours BA in political science from Western University, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2010.
