About Anja Trapara

Anja Trapara represents employers in labour and employment matters, advising organizations of every size across many industries. When a dispute goes further, Anja appears for clients at labour arbitrations, before employment tribunals and in the civil courts. Anja is an associate with Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP and works out of the firm's Hamilton office.

Anja's route to Filion ran through a full-service national firm, first as a summer student and then as an articling student. Anja joined Filion in September 2022 and was called to the Ontario bar that year, having finished a Juris Doctor at Western University in 2021. Law school also included time as a research assistant.

In May 2023 Anja and partner Ashley Brown led a free firm webinar on how quickly Ontario's employment rules had been shifting, and in June 2024 Anja presented on social media in the workplace. Anja is a proud Hamiltonian who earned an honours Bachelor of Commerce at McMaster University in 2018 before heading to law school. Anja speaks Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and Montenegrin at a native level and is a member of Serbian-Canadian Professionals in Law, which brings together lawyers, students and other legal professionals of Serbian heritage.
