About Laura
Laura Freitag is a partner at Filion practicing labour and employment law, focusing on employment litigation, human rights proceedings, grievance arbitrations, and workplace investigations. She has litigated before various tribunals and all levels of court in Ontario, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada, and also handles confidential mediations and arbitrations. Laura has particular expertise in complex wrongful dismissal cases involving departing executives, disputes over restrictive covenants, and employment-related shareholder disputes. She advises private and public sector clients across industries including manufacturing, energy, technology, and school boards. Before joining Filion, she was an associate at a national full-service firm, working on commercial, employment, human rights, constitutional, and fraud litigation.
