About Hossein

Hossein is a partner at Filion who advises employers on employment, labour, and human rights matters in both unionized and non-unionized workplaces. He regularly handles disability management issues, including workers' compensation claims and non-occupational absences, and appears before courts and administrative tribunals on a range of workplace disputes. Hossein has served for over a decade on the executive of the Ontario Bar Association's Labour & Employment section and the Canadian Bar Association's Sexual and Gender Diversity Alliance section, and he frequently speaks at HR conferences across Ontario. Within the firm, he sits on the Associate and Student Committee and previously served on the Culture and Diversity Committee. He holds a JD from the University of Ottawa, a Master of Arts from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, and a BA (Honours) from the University of Toronto, and he was called to the Ontario bar in 2016.
