About Mark

Mark Stone has been a partner with the firm since 1997, advising employers on the full range of labour and employment law issues. He represents public and private sector employers before labour boards, arbitration boards, courts, and employment tribunals, and has acted as lead counsel in significant collective agreement arbitrations, wrongful dismissal cases, and proceedings before the Ontario Labour Relations Board and the province's Human Rights Tribunal. He has substantial experience in collective bargaining, having served as lead spokesperson at the table for employers in both first agreements and renewals, and he regularly advises on collective agreement drafting. He also helps employers manage strikes and picketing, including obtaining court injunctions against unlawful picketing. He holds degrees from Dalhousie University and St. Francis Xavier University and was called to the bar in Ontario in 1991.
