About Alyssa Johnson

Alyssa Johnson is an associate in the Hamilton office of Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP. Alyssa advises and represents employers big and small, whatever field they're in, on labour and employment matters.

Alyssa's ties to Filion predate the call to the bar. A summer position came first, then articling, and early 2024 brought a return to the firm as an associate, a year after Alyssa's call to the Ontario bar. At Queen's, Alyssa edited the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal, worked as a teaching assistant in workplace law and in public international law, and spent time as an intern with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency.

Advocacy and workplace law are a real passion for Alyssa, and the practice is a broad one. Beyond the core employer work, Alyssa's interests reach into education law, immigration law and pay equity compliance, a subject Alyssa has written about several times for Filion's Firm Insights.
