About Rebecca Rosenberg

Rebecca Rosenberg is an associate in the Toronto office of Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP, advising employers across all areas of labour and employment law. Regulatory compliance is a second focus, and Rebecca's done a lot of work on supply chain transparency laws and how organizations manage what they require.

Filion is where Rebecca's legal career began. The firm brought Rebecca in as one of its 2022 summer students while Rebecca was studying law at the University of Toronto, and articling there followed. After being called to the Ontario bar in 2024, Rebecca stayed on as an associate, a move the firm announced that November.

During law school, Rebecca held a seat on the executive board of the Faculty of Law Review, worked as one of the executive editors of Ultra Vires, the student paper, helped run the Hockey Arbitration Competition of Canada as a co-director, and co-founded the Agency club, serving as its president. In that last year of the JD, a national public policy think tank published two peer-reviewed papers by Rebecca on intellectual law reform.

Away from client files, Rebecca sits on the board of University Settlement, an organization whose matters Rebecca has worked on as a lawyer. A personal background and time spent as a caregiver drive a particular interest in supporting seniors and newcomer communities. Employers can also read Rebecca's take on current issues, from the federal forced labour reporting rules to Bill 97 and a proposed expansion of WSIB coverage, and in March 2026 Rebecca presented a firm webinar on accommodation and accessibility at work.
