About Lucas
Lucas Mapplebeck is a partner who acts for employers across the spectrum of labour and employment law, with particular strength in labour relations matters, privacy compliance work and employment litigation. He appears often before the courts, arbitration panels, the Ontario Labour Relations Board and various other tribunals, and frequently represents clients through collective bargaining negotiations and interest arbitration proceedings. His client base spans construction, manufacturing, education, technology and healthcare, and includes both unionized and non-unionized employers in the public and private sectors. He brings additional perspective to education law matters, having previously worked as a middle school teacher and college instructor. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor along with a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Queen's University, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2018.
