Carol S. Nielsen is a partner at Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti, where she has worked since 1996 and been a partner since 2004. Over more than two decades she has represented unionized and non-union employers of all sizes, in both federal and provincial jurisdictions, spanning manufacturing, sports, social services, and technology, as well as municipalities and broader public sector bodies. She regularly handles complex, high-stakes litigation involving pay equity, human rights, and wrongful dismissal claims, and advises on employment standards, disability management, discipline, discharge, and privacy. She has represented purchasers and vendors in business transactions, including a Canadian acquisition worth more than $500 million, and has served as a management nominee in interest arbitrations. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1998 and holds degrees from the University of Toronto and McGill University.
