About Mark
Mark Van Ginkel is a partner whose management-side labour and employment practice spans both the private and public sectors. He regularly counsels employers on grievance arbitrations, construction labour relations, occupational health and safety, collective bargaining, wrongful dismissals, human rights, and privacy matters. He also appears as an advocate before Ontario courts and tribunals, including the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. While studying at Western Law, he took on leadership roles with the Labour & Employment Law Society and served as a student orientation leader, and he worked as an associate caseworker with a London legal clinic. He competed extensively in national advocacy competitions, finishing as a top finalist and earning recognition for his written work. Mark currently sits on the Board of Directors of University Settlement, a Toronto community social service centre.
