Loopstra Nixon LLP is a full-service business and public law firm headquartered in Toronto, with a second downtown Toronto office and a Vaughan office in Ontario, plus U.S. satellite offices in Buffalo and New York City. Charles Loopstra and Sandy Nixon opened the firm as a general practice on June 1, 1973, in a storefront office in northwest Toronto, and Sandy Nixon joined as a partner the following year after being called to the bar. Loopstra Nixon's head office sits in the Woodbine Place complex on Queens Plate Drive in northwest Toronto (Etobicoke), a street named for the Queen's Plate, a thoroughbred race first run in 1860 and held today at the neighbouring Woodbine Racetrack.
