History
Ted Conroy, one of the firm's founders, finished at the University of Toronto in 1954 and then attended Osgoode Hall. After a 1958 call to the bar, Ted Conroy took on cases across Ontario from a Sudbury base and retired in 2021. Violent crime stayed a particular focus through more than 50 years of practice, and the clients defended in that time included over 15 people charged with murder.
Real estate, business law and estate planning made up the solicitor's work Murray Scott carried on as a partner, from a 1977 call to the Ontario bar until March 20, 2020. Among Murray Scott's counsel roles were an international oil company's Northern Ontario conversion, a hospital transition locally and the reorganization of distance education in Northern Ontario. Ronald V. Trebb, also called in 1977, practised as a partner of the firm from 1978 and has since retired, as has Leighton T. Roslyn, who's been associated with the firm since 2001.
