About Cesare

Cesare J. Plastina is a partner practising civil litigation with a focus on municipal liability and insurance defence. He represents Ontario municipalities and their insurers in disputes involving property damage, subrogation, motor vehicle accidents and occupiers' liability. He joined the firm in 2016 after articling and spending several years at a prominent Toronto insurance defence firm, and his background also includes work in the private insurance industry. He has appeared before the Ontario Small Claims Court, the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Cesare has been quoted in The Lawyers Weekly commenting on a British Columbia Supreme Court decision. He holds a J.D. from the University of Ottawa and a B.A. (Hons) from the University of Toronto's St. Michael's College.
