About Austin

Austin's practice centers on municipal, land use planning, and development law. He acts for a wide mix of clients across Ontario, including municipalities, developers, private corporations, and individual homeowners, on matters like development approvals, municipal governance, official plan and zoning by-law appeals, plans of subdivision and consents, minor variances, development charges, and freedom of information requests. He got his J.D. from the University of Toronto after completing a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies at the University of King's College. Austin started at Loopstra Nixon LLP as a summer student, articled there, and has practised with the firm ever since being called to the bar.
