Baker Newby LLP is a full service law firm based in Chilliwack, in British Columbia's Fraser Valley, with a second office in Abbotsford. The firm traces its roots to 1937, when David Sturdy opened a one lawyer office on Young Street in downtown Chilliwack during the Depression, across from the city's Empress Hotel landmark. Over the following decades the practice took on a series of names as new partners joined, running through Wilson and Hinds and then Wilson, Hinds and Davies before settling on Baker Newby after James Baker and Maxwell Newby joined the partnership in the 1960s and 1970s. The firm describes itself today as one of the largest law firms in British Columbia outside Vancouver.

Baker Newby organizes its work into three groups: business services, dispute resolution, and personal services, covering matters from agricultural law and construction to family law, wills and estates, and personal injury. The firm also practises Indigenous law and criminal defence. It runs on a client centered model, assigning each client a single point of contact no matter how many of its lawyers end up working on a file.
