About Cristen
Cristen L. Gleeson, K.C., is a partner at Baker Newby LLP practising family law and personal injury law. She graduated with a degree in English literature from Queen's University in 1998 and her law degree from Queen's University in 2001, articled with BC Hydro in Vancouver, and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2002. She joined Baker Newby in 2006, became a partner in 2010, joined the management team in 2019, and was appointed King's Counsel in 2023. Gleeson chairs the University of the Fraser Valley Board of Governors and the Fraser Valley Healthcare Foundation, and is a Governor of the Law Foundation of British Columbia. She appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada on a case involving civil sexual assault and abuse of children in foster care, and has volunteered with women facing addiction and assault in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside through the Pivot Legal Society.
