About Jessie

Jessie N. Ramsay is a partner at Baker Newby LLP in the family and commercial litigation departments and a key member of its Indigenous law group. Jessie is Métis and grew up in Chilliwack, BC. She earned a Bachelor of Arts at UBC, majoring in psychology and minoring in First Nations studies, then remained at UBC for her Juris Doctor at the Allard School of Law, graduating in 2014. She returned home to begin her career at Baker Newby, was called to the bar in 2015, and joined the partnership in July 2019. Ramsay is an accredited family law mediator and qualified workplace investigator, sits on the executive of the Canadian Bar Association's Fraser Valley Family Law section, and was named to Business in Vancouver's Top 40 Under 40. She serves on the boards of Stó:lō Community Futures, Chilliwack Community Services, and the Stó:lō Service Agency.
