Black Burke Mayor is a labour and employment law firm based in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. The firm traces its roots to McTaggart Ellis, a firm founded in 1917 that, by Black Burke Mayor's own account, represented trade unions, labour organizations, teachers, and other employees for more than 50 years and was the oldest firm practicing union side labour and employment law in the province. In 1999, Allan Black and a group of partners and associates from McTaggart Ellis established the firm under a new name, continuing that union side practice. Effective October 2023, the firm restructured as Black Burke Mayor LLP, which now does business as Black Gropper.

Black Burke Mayor mainly represents unions and unionized employees, including teachers, firefighters, university faculty, and other public sector workers, though it also advises non-unionized employees and employers on employment law matters. Its practice covers labour law, employment law, human rights law, occupational health and safety, privacy law, professional governance, and education law, and its lawyers appear regularly before the BC Labour Relations Board, the Human Rights Tribunal, arbitration boards, and the courts.
