Jessica L. Burke provides legal representation to public and private sector unions before the BC and Canada labour boards and at grievance arbitration hearings, and provides strategic and policy advice on collective agreement administration, labour, human rights, and privacy law, as well as collective bargaining. She also advises and represents individuals in human rights cases and employment law matters such as negotiating employment contracts or termination packages. Jessica is a past Chair of the Labour Sub-section of the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association and a member of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and her law degree from the University of Victoria, including an exchange into the Civil (French) Law school at the University of Ottawa. She joined Black Burke Mayor as an associate in January 2005 after completing her articles with the firm, later becoming a partner. Jessica uses the pronouns she/her.
