About Madeline

Madeline Reid joined Black Burke Mayor after practising as legislative counsel with the British Columbia Ministry of Attorney General, drafting legislation across a range of areas. Before that, she clerked for the Honourable Justice Sheilah Martin of the Supreme Court of Canada and two justices of the Court of Appeal for British Columbia, and worked on civil and criminal litigation while articling with the provincial government. Madeline earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria, where she received the Law Society of British Columbia Gold Medal for highest academic standing in her year, and a Master of Law from the University of Cambridge. She also holds a Bachelor of Music with a major in performance. Madeline uses the pronouns she/her.
