About Elisabeth

Elisabeth A. Finney practices labour, administrative, and human rights law on behalf of public and private sector unions and is called to the bar in both British Columbia and the Yukon. Before joining Black Burke Mayor in 2020, she worked in-house for eight years at several large public sector unions in British Columbia, representing the union at arbitrations, resolving grievances, and assisting in collective bargaining. She also has experience in workers' compensation law and Aboriginal law, and has appeared before the BC Provincial Court, the BC Supreme Court, the BC Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Yukon, and the Federal Court of Appeal. Elisabeth uses the pronouns she/her.
