Michelle Huang joined Black Burke Mayor after practising at another union-side labour law firm and articling at the national office of a large private-sector union. She obtained her JD from the University of Toronto, where she advocated for tenants and workers at legal aid clinics, appeared before the Landlord and Tenant Board and Small Claims Court, and participated in systemic litigation at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. She also worked with injured migrant workers to develop compensation-access policy. Michelle holds an MA in Sociology from the University of Toronto and a BA from McGill University. Michelle uses the pronouns she/her.
