Isabelle Busby

About Isabelle

Isabelle Busby practices labour, human rights, professional regulatory, and employment law, with a focus on supporting movements for substantive equality. Before joining Black Burke Mayor, she practised Aboriginal law at a Vancouver-based firm and worked as an advocate in the public labour relations sector, completing her articles with West Coast LEAF, where she gained experience in public interest, constitutional, and family law. She has represented clients before the Provincial Court of British Columbia and assisted with litigation before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Federal Court of Canada, and various administrative tribunals. She completed her law degree at the University of Victoria and holds a BA in Linguistics from the University of British Columbia. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers (CALL), and assists clients in English and French.
