Barriston Law is a full-service firm headquartered in Barrie, Ontario, with additional offices in Collingwood, Bracebridge, and Huntsville. The firm traces to October 2011, when Burgar Rowe Professional Corporation and Purser Dooley Cockburn Smith LLP, two established Barrie firms, merged to form Barriston LLP. At the time, the combined practice had 37 practising lawyers and one licensed paralegal, with offices in Barrie and Bracebridge; the firm has since grown to more than 50 lawyers across its four Central Ontario locations. It practises business and corporate law, real estate, wills and estates, family law, civil litigation, employment law, construction law, municipal law, intellectual property, and Indigenous law, including duty to consult and accommodate, Indigenous economic development, and Aboriginal and treaty rights matters.

In August 2019, Barriston became the first law firm in Ontario, and the third in Canada, to earn Certified B Corporation status. It's also recognized as a Living Wage employer. The firm says it's beneficially owned by 11 partners, making it 55 percent women owned, and it has worked with the Sandbox Centre, Busch Systems, and BDC since October 2020 to run B Corp Cohorts that help other local businesses pursue their own certification.
