About Emerson

Emerson Wargel is an associate practising general civil litigation and employment law. He joined Barriston in 2022 after working as an associate and articling student at a prominent management-side labour and employment firm. Emerson earned his Juris Doctor from Western University in 2020, graduating on the Dean's List and receiving the Law Society of Ontario Award for academic excellence. He competed frequently in moots and advocacy competitions in law school, including winning Distinguished Oralist at the Willms and Shier Environmental Law Moot representing Western. Before law school, he earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Political Science from the University of Guelph.
