About Josh

Josh articled at a Barrie law firm and stayed on as an associate after his call to the Ontario bar, where he now practises general civil litigation and employment law. Raised in Barrie, he graduated with honours from the J.D. program at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law after earning an honours B.A. in Law and Society from York University. Before practising law he held several roles with the federal government, including special assistant to Barrie's Member of Parliament and to a senator, and special assistant to the Minister of National Defence, and during law school he served as a student to a Regional Senior Justice of the Ontario Provincial Court. He has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal, and Best Lawyers Canada named him a 'One to Watch' in employment law in 2025. He is active in the Barrie community, including as Vice-Chair of the MacLaren Art Centre and Vice Chair of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.
