About Shannon
Shannon Dawson is a senior associate practicing family law, handling separation, divorce, parenting, child and spousal support, property division, and the negotiation of cohabitation and separation agreements. She earned a BA with honours in history and legal studies from Wilfrid Laurier University before completing her law degree at Western Law, where she served as Student Coordinator of the Dispute Resolution Centre and worked as a caseworker at the Community Legal Clinic and the Advanced Family Law Clinic. She also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada's Family Justice Centre and edited the Western Journal of Legal Studies. After graduating in 2021, Shannon completed her articles with Barriston, working on high conflict parenting matters and support and property disputes, and she has advocated for clients before the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in March 2022.
