About Norton Rose Fulbright

Norton Rose Fulbright is a global law firm that traces back to 1794, when Robert Charsley opened a solo legal practice in London. In Canada, the firm took its current shape through mergers: Montreal's Ogilvy Renault combined with Norton Rose in 2011, followed by Calgary's Macleod Dixon in 2012. The global firm then combined with the Houston founded Fulbright & Jaworski in 2013, creating Norton Rose Fulbright. Today it has more than 600 lawyers, patent agents and trademark agents in Canada, working from six offices in Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City, Toronto and Vancouver.

The Toronto team works out of 222 Bay Street in the financial district, on four and a half floors it moved into in 2019. Its practice spans banking and finance, corporate M&A and securities, litigation, employment and labour, antitrust and competition, and intellectual property. The firm serves clients across industries including financial institutions, energy, infrastructure, technology and life sciences.
