R. Brendan Bissell is a partner at Reconstruct LLP with a combined 25 years of experience gained at Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP and a boutique full-service firm. He started out as a litigator and trial lawyer before shifting his focus to insolvency, restructuring and commercial litigation, and clients often seek him out to resolve and restructure complex claims. He has acted for borrowers, creditors, purchasers, court officers and government bodies including municipalities and the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy. He has particular experience with distressed construction and real estate companies, working with contractors, developers, municipalities and public agencies on P3 and DBFM projects. He sits on the Commercial List Users Committee and previously chaired the Ontario Bar Association's Insolvency Section.
