About Jason

Jason Jagpal is a partner at Achkar Law who advises employers on the full range of workplace issues, from compliance and employment contracts to terminations, dismissals, and layoffs, while also representing employees. He brings more than a decade of employment and litigation experience, handling matters at every stage from pre-dispute advice to trials, summary judgment motions, and human rights and labour relations applications. He has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and the Ontario Labour Relations Board. Jagpal takes a practical, solutions-focused approach and makes a point of explaining complex legal principles clearly so clients stay informed throughout the process. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto after completing an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Economics at Ryerson University, and he's a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
