Burchell MacDougall LLP was founded in Truro, Nova Scotia in 1944 by Wilfred Burchell and R. Lorne MacDougall and is one of the oldest, most established law firms in the province. It has grown from its Truro roots to open offices in Halifax (1984), Wolfville, Elmsdale and Stellarton, and now has more than 30 lawyers serving clients across Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada. The full-service firm advises individuals, businesses, institutions and governments in areas including personal injury, corporate and commercial law, real estate, family law, wills and estates, and employment law.
