Wills, Estates & TrustsZara Wong is a partner who advocates for clients facing capacity issues and the death of a loved one, bringing a practical and creative approach to resolving disputes efficiently. Her interest in litigation began as a caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Services, where she advocated for low-income individuals and represented clients before the Social Benefits Tribunal, and she became drawn to estates law after helping a client with inheritance and property matters. Zara was Casey & Moss's first summer student and returned to the firm as an associate after articling at the Office of the Children's Lawyer, a branch of Ontario's Ministry of the Attorney General, where she worked on estates and trusts, civil litigation and family law files and represented children in child protection and custody disputes. She speaks Cantonese and is conversational in French, having studied abroad at Université Paris Dauphine and Bucerius Law School in Hamburg. Zara earned her JD from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2018 and a BA (Honours) from the University of Waterloo in 2015, and she was called to the Ontario bar in 2019.
