About Kristjan

With nearly 20 years advising startups, research teams and multinational companies on patent strategy, Kristjan Spence serves as a shareholder and licensed patent agent at PCK. His practice covers drafting and prosecuting patent applications, managing international portfolios, and advising on IP strategy for commercialization and risk mitigation, with a technical focus in mechanical engineering, medical devices, telecommunications and software. He also assists clients with IP issues that arise during licensing, litigation and business transactions. Spence became a licensed Canadian patent agent in 2008, was licensed to practice before the USPTO in 2011, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering from the University of Guelph.
