Alan Feeney serves as Of Counsel and Managing Director at PCK, where he heads the firm's life sciences practice. He has more than 25 years of legal experience, including two decades concentrated on intellectual property, and is a registered U.S. patent attorney who previously worked as a USPTO examiner in biotechnology and biomedical sciences. His work spans pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, diagnostics, and advanced materials. Before joining PCK, he served as U.S. Patent Counsel for IPSEN in Paris, overseeing intellectual property matters across the United States, Ireland, and Spain. He has also led trademark practices at major Boston law firms and directed IP strategy for research teams. His practice today covers patent strategy, prosecution, and portfolio management, along with freedom-to-operate analysis and licensing for startups and multinational companies. He holds an LL.M. in intellectual property from the University of New Hampshire, a J.D. from the University of Miami, and a B.S. in chemistry from Boston College.
