David Heckadon serves as Of Counsel at PCK, where he has practiced U.S. patent law for more than two decades. He started his career in Silicon Valley, helping clients build strategically sound patent portfolios, and has since drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications, gaining thorough knowledge of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and various global filing approaches. He collaborates with associates in Europe, Asia and Australia and is noted for being responsive and easy to work with. His technical background covers computer systems, software, medical devices, electro-mechanical systems and renewable energy, and he also advises on U.S. trademark filings. His practice includes patent prosecution work such as office action responses and claim drafting, freedom-to-operate opinions, infringement analysis and due diligence.
