About Brendan

Brendan van Niejenhuis serves as Of Counsel at PCK and is a partner at Stockwoods LLP, where his practice centers on intellectual property and commercial litigation. He handles disputes touching on patents, trademarks, copyright, and confidential information, along with shareholder disputes and regulatory hearings. He has argued cases at every level of court in Canada, including a copyright case at the Supreme Court where he acted for authors' groups. Early in his career, he served as law clerk to Justice Frank Iacobucci of the Supreme Court of Canada. For more than ten years he has taught advocacy and public law as an adjunct professor at both Queen's University and Osgoode Hall Law School. He holds a law degree and an honours BA in Classics from the University of Toronto, and belongs to the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, and The Advocates' Society.
