About Fatima
Fatima Aamir supports workers in provincial trade unions in both the public and private sectors, including assisting construction trade unions in private arbitrations and before the Ontario Labour Relations Board. Before law school she completed a Master's in Comparative Literature at the University of Toronto, researching post-colonial modernism and liberation movements, and she continues to write cultural and literary criticism for several publications. Fatima graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law with Distinction in her second year. While in school she co-chaired the University of Toronto chapter of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers and worked as a caseworker in the Immigration and Refugee Law division of Downtown Legal Services, supporting the Canadian Council for Refugees in litigation before the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada, including the intervention in R v. Mason. She also spent a summer with the Community Justice Collective, providing legal support to community organizers. Fatima was called to the bar in 2025 and joined Goldblatt Partners as an associate after articling with the firm.
