Employment & Labour LawAdriel Weaver practises public law litigation, representing criminal accused, prisoners, immigration detainees, and constitutional and human rights claimants, as well as community and public interest organizations. Much of her work involves defending and advancing prisoners' rights and challenging systemic discrimination within the criminal justice system, and she also acts for unions and professional associations in the education and health care sectors, including a growing labour arbitration practice. Since 2016, she has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto's Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies, covering subjects such as criminal law, Indigenous law, and national security. She chairs the board of PASAN, sits on the board of LEAF where she chairs its Law Program Committee, and is a board member of the Wellesley Institute.
