About Andrea

Andrea Tratnik is a partner in Beard Winter's Trusts and Estates Group and its Corporate Group. She holds the Trust and Estate Practitioner designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and has served as an executive member of the Ontario Bar Association's Trusts and Estates Law Section, along with a long membership in the Canadian Tax Foundation. Her work centers on helping clients set efficient estate and trust plans that limit probate tax exposure and address income tax issues, and she guides families through probate and administration after a death. She also advises on private corporate matters, including business succession planning. Andrea writes regularly for publications such as the OBA, STEP, and the Journal of International Tax, Trust and Corporate Planning, and she co-authored the Canadian chapters of two recent international texts on trusts and family offices. She was called to the bar in 2012 and previously sat on the firm's articling committee for eight years.
