About Wendy

Wendy Templeton is of counsel at Sotos LLP with more than three decades of experience spanning private practice, a national accounting firm's tax department, and the trust and wealth management groups of a major Canadian bank. Her practice focuses on tax, trusts and estates, including business succession and cross-border Canada-US planning. She advises high-net-worth families, business owners, charities and financial institutions, often working alongside clients' other advisors. Wendy helped develop STEP Canada's four-course Diploma Programme and authored three of its texts, and has lectured and published for the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Ontario and STEP. She previously chaired the CBA's National Wills, Trusts and Estates Section. She holds a J.D. from Western University and a B.A. from the University of Toronto.
