Wills, Estates & TrustsAdil Abdulla is an associate with a broad litigation practice spanning commercial and franchise disputes, intellectual property and estates matters, and he has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Court of Appeal for Ontario and the Federal Court of Appeal. He is currently writing a textbook on Indigenous class actions for LexisNexis and has published book chapters and peer-reviewed articles on securities, competition, intellectual property and franchise law. Before joining Sotos, Adil worked at a Bay Street litigation firm handling commercial litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants. During law school he was the top oralist at the Davies Corporate/Securities Moot and served as Editor-in-Chief of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review. He chairs the Ontario Bar Association's Civil Litigation section and sits on the Diversity & Inclusion Steering Committee of The Advocates' Society. He holds a JD, an MA in Economics and a BA in International Relations and Economics, all from the University of Toronto, and he was called to the Ontario bar in 2021. Adil is proficient in French and Spanish.
