About Matias
Matias practises estate litigation at Casey & Moss, handling disputes that follow a death or loss of capacity. His work includes contested wills, disputed powers of attorney, claims for dependant support, contested passing of accounts, allegations against an executor, and questions of testamentary capacity. Before law school he worked as a consultant for a global accounting firm, held an academic fellowship at the University of Toronto, worked as an administrative clerk in financial services, and taught piano. At Osgoode Hall he ran the Consumer Protection Clinic, served as Chess Club president, and founded the school's Estates Law Club. He earned his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2024, was called to the Ontario bar in 2025, and also holds a master's degree in English literature and an honours B.A. from the University of Toronto. He speaks Spanish.
